Cake and Breakfast
This is the top place I would advise in town, if you just want to have a tasty and fulfilling breakfast in a chilling and comfortable atmosphere.
They have five places in town, but you must go to Cake&Breakfast Манежный, for the largest choice of brunch and atmosphere, just trust me.
We have been so many times to Cake & Breakfast that I can’t count it anymore, but I will never get bored with it. It's really simple but so delicious and good quality, at the same time; the service is pleasant and fast; the portions are fulfilling; and everything is homemade, even the desserts, which is perfect to be sure to start a day satisfied and with a smile.
They sometimes have special dishes made for the seasons; for example, in autumn, I remembered trying the pumpkin spice latte and the pumpkin tart, but also some apples-cinnamon Russian oladi. I tried there some surprising zucchini pancakes that are not on the menu anymore, but hopefully one day they will be back again.
You also have the option to personalize your meal by adding, if desired, some ingredients (red fish, sausages, avocado, etc.).
I think there is something for all tastes.
I have a crush on the poached egg on brioche (half crunchy toasted croissant), or I like to take the scrambles on bread or the pancakes with bacon and honey. For those not afraid of calories, I advise the croissant with red fish and cream sauce... My man loves the shakshuka with sausages and feta, and we always share a dessert. If the banoffee pie is undoubtedly our top one, I would also advise the pavlova (so light and fresh), the medovik (so chewy and sweet), and the lemon tart (just as it should be).
